Brand identity design for a five-star hotel and spa in Santorini

Now an established gem in the heart of Oia, they required a rebrand that would reflect its unique offerings. We kicked the project off by researching Greek traditions and the history of Santorini. This followed by an audit with the senior management and continued with all staff within the company.

Creating a brand identity for restaurant based on the beautiful island of Santorini

This was finalised by compiling a consumer/audience profile to find out what the ideal customer is to them. We based the new brand identity around their target market and the beautiful island surroundings. The key was incorporating the sun, the sea breeze and the name into the brand mark.

Researching the Greek goddess of the sea, we made the connection by including the sea god’s trident into the mark. We paired the brand mark with a beautiful sans-serif font that would reflect their premium offering.

We looked at evolving the existing colour palette, paying homage to the islands surroundings. Taking inspiration from the sea, white-washed buildings and tones of locally made pottery. We refined the palette to tones of deep blue, sky blue, dusty pinks, ceramic clays and white tones.

The new evolved colour palette would give an high-end look that would appeal to the target audience. The branding is applied to newly designed brochures, menus, and business stationery. Sustainable papers and high-end finishes were sourced and combined to create a luxurious look and feel.
