Crafting print marketing materials for an award-winning boutique
Beverly Edmondson Millinery are one of the leading mother of the bride suppliers in Surrey. Based at their award-winning winning boutique in Farnham, they offer expert styling advice, designer hats and hand crafted headwear for any occasion. We were commissioned to design a look book that would showcase their bespoke Autumn/Winter 2022 collection, looking to attract a new audience of potential customers.
We had previously worked closely with Beverley Edmondson Millinery on their AW19 and SS20 collection look books. When Beverley contacted us we already had prior knowledge of her business.
Designing a look book for an award-winning boutique
Therefore already knowing the vision that Beverley has for her business and the type of regular clients they attract. Appealing to clients from far and wide, travelling to visit them at their Farnham boutique and contacting them for video call consultations.
Our aim was to create a look book design that followed the company brand guidelines, keeping inline with existing marketing materials, the website and the overall look of the brand.

We took a minimal approach in the design of the layout that would allow the products to really take centre stage. Firstly choosing carefully considered typography that would complement the logo and be easy to read.
Tying in the typography and logo with a simple colour palette of bright yellow and black. Furthermore this would allow the products to capture the attention of past and future clients.
Marketing materials that appeal to their target audience
Alongside the design of the look book, we were commissioned to create after sales marketing collateral. They included a A6 double-sided postcard for returns and a A5 folded leaflet. The leaflet is sent out with all orders, giving advice on how to wear and look after your hat.
The brief was to keep them both inline with the look book and with existing marketing materials. Making sure the same colour palette and typography is used across all materials and applications.
